美國亞利桑那圖森市附近的大衛斯
蒙山空軍基地是處神秘的地方，它既是空軍基地也是軍方的航空航太修復與保養中心。在基地裏廣闊的沙漠中儲存著美國軍方的退役飛機和封存飛機。因為這裏的氣候溫暖燥，機體腐蝕很慢每架被送到墳場的飛機都要拆除易損的部件和昂貴的儀器，並且抽了“飛機的血”——燃油、液壓油等所有液體，機體上的視窗、門、艙口都用保護性材料密封，座艙玻璃遮蓋嚴密，否者很容易被沙漠強烈陽光所老化變黃，但是飛機機腹的艙門則儘量開著，避免機內氣壓過高
多數被送到這裏的飛機最終的下場是成為“配件供應者”，最終被拆得零零碎碎；少數幸運兒像 C-130
運輸機側整修後被賣成民用，如改成滅火機。但是也有飛機是指定到這裏來“殺頭”的，大批 B-52 成為核裁軍條約的犧牲品，被肢解後排列整齊後供蘇聯衛星拍照一些封存的飛機也會被賣到國外，93年美國批准出售四架 E-2T 給臺灣就是從該墳場抽出的 E-2B
